In Windows Storage Server 2003 R2 there is a c:\windows\backup folder, this
folder is inaccessible through explorer and when selecting properties shows
as a "mounted volume".

This is fresh out of the box install.
If I run a backup of this folder alone it backups the entire c: drive.
Also HP Data Protector shows this as a seperate volume under the device to
be backed up.

Does anyone know the reason for this folder?
Can this be safley deleted?
Does it need to be backed up?
