file blocking virus checking

C\system volume information\tracking.log, my firewall and spy software does
not show an alert, virus software just stalls when it gets to this file, just
keeps on checking for 5-10hrs, until I shut it off. can I delete this file. I
cannot access it on Search. 'Access denied'
