Default User profiles

I recently had a system malfuntion on my servers and had to redo them. In
the process I upgraded them to Windows 2003 R2 x64. Now the problem I am
having is that I am unable to get my users's roaming profiles to work
correctly. I have recreated all the right parameters in DFS and Group Policy
for folder redirection and the SIDs. But I am having two problems. First
problem is that since rejoining the client computers to the domain, I am
unable to get the profiles to load correctly. All the SIDs on the client
computers and folders in Documents and Settings are correct, but each time
the log in it reverts to a TEMP login. Now on that temp login they can see
all the appropriate shares and even access their Data drives on the server,
but it will not go to the local copies on the client computer. My second
problem stems from DFS. On login the following message appears each time:
Offline Files (\\domain\Folder Redirection on domain); Unable to connect to
'\\domain\Folder Redirection' Configuration information could not be read
from the domain controller, either beacuse the machine is unavailable or
access has been denied.
Does anyone know of any way to fix these problems? Also my client computers
range between XP professional and Vista Professional.

Hello,

did you try to rename the local profile and see if it create a new correct
one ?

You may turn on user env debug:

Did you have offline folders enabled before ?

Ok it does not create a new correct profile. It just creates a temp each
time. I have a copy of the userenv.log, but I do not know how to decypher
it. I would post it but it is long and cannot be posted via webbrowser. As
for the Offline Folders, that might be a DFS issue and I am still trying to
work that. I had them enabled before, and the situation has changed on that,
it no longer says unaccessable domain. Now it just has access denied on the
specific folders.

Yes I did follow the KB provided. The sync says that it is completing
successfully, but it still gives access denied to a few folders. It might be
a setup issue on DFS at this point.

FYI, this case was closed privately, it was a roaming profile access right
issue.
