I have a homemade MSI file (for the Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0
Redistributable Package) and when I look at the event logs of my computers,
they have the following error.

Product: Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 -- Error 1308.Source file not found:
\\dpprojects\setup\Software\Sservice
Packs\dotNetFrameworks2RedistributionPackage\insta ll.exe. Verify that the
file exists and that you can access it. (There is a space between Service
and Packs - is that bad?)

The MSI file is called netfix.msi - I didn't create this MSI file. The
dotnetfx.exe file that it was created from is in the same directory.

What is it that I am missing - I need to get this MSI installed ASAP (of
course

Is this a typo? "Ssvervice"?


What permissions are set to that share? Do "Authenticated Users" have
sufficient rights?

Maybe you could have a look at http://www.appdeploy.com - there are a
lot of other people that deploy software across networks. Since I
haven't rolled out .NET 2.0 myself but heard that there are (at least)
some issues, you could possibly find your answer there.
