Hi,

I run a primary and secundary DNS server (both NT4).
There are 3 zones, for internal name resolution.

Both nameservers receive a lot of recursive queries, to which they never
receive an answer. This can be seen on the statistics screen. Every second
about 3 queries are received.
The PIX firewall somehow stores all these request, none of which he
receives an answer to, runs out of memory, and needs a reboot every 6
hours.


My setup is really basic. I have 3 zones. If the dns's have to resolve an
internetname, they are expected to hand the query over to my ISP's
nameservers, right ? And setting this up, is actually done on NT's
networkpanel right?, NOT in the DNSmanager (via forwarding), right ?


Any suggestions with the recursive queries ? I have about 150 hosts, is it
normal to have this many queries ?
