Default Which TCP/UDP or other ports need to be enabled on the firwall

We have a PDC inside the firewall(CISCO PIX). We are
trying to deploy a BDC outside the firewall. Checked many
documentations withing microsoft.com, still have no clue
about the ports and protocols we need to open on the
firewall. I am sure someone here went through the same
issue. Please help. Thanks.

How to Configure a Firewall for Domains and Trusts
http://support.microsoft.com/default...9442&Product=n
ts40

I strongly advise against doing this if the firewall is used
to separate your internal LAN from the internet. The whole
point of a firewall is to block these specific ports.

set up a VPN solution on the PIX. it sounds like that's what your aim is
anyway but I may be wrong =). your clients then can access the domain
without all that security risk.

Thanks Michael. Will give it a try. The ports seems to be
used to establish the trust relationship between domains.
Anyway, will try.

The secure channel needed for trusts is identical to that
needed for domain to domain member trusts.
