Default re formatting a hard drive w/nt existing

I have been asked by a retired couple if I would transfer
files from a ibm thinkpad which has the win98 program to
another thinkpad which has NT. They do not want to
upgrade so I decided to clear the hard drive of the
operating system, but NT is still there. I need a command
to clean the hard drive from the c prompt,.

transfer

command

NT CD, get to the point of Setup where you can choose to
delete the partitions, and delete the C Drive partition.
once this is done, exit set up, and boot your PC using a
DOS disc or Win 98 disk and use FDISK from the command
Prompt to re-partition the Thinkpad

There is a program called BootItNG....it is a hard drive partitioning and
multiboot program. With it, you can delete NT partitions from hard drives
all day long and it takes one tenth the time described below.

You can get a free trial version (it is all you really need if you are only
removing a boot partition...boot from the floppy) from
www.terabyteunlimited.com

Just know that it has a lot of other uses that make it worth the 29.95 to
purchase. At the very least, check it out.
