Default DFSR conflict and deleted rescue

Hi all.

We have a situation where we set off a 2 server replication to 'mirror'
an existing file structure to another office. In our haste we did not
increase the staging file size quota and have ended up with a lot of
files lost. We were replicating 35Gig data. To save some time is there
any way to recover files manually from the dfsrprivate folder,
specifically the conflict and deleted items which seem to have had a
guid attached to them.
We are going to rebuild the dfs structure and start the process off
again in a staged manner but would like to recover these files first.

Thanks,

Mike

Yes, but unless you upped the conflictanddeleted folder quota, you will only
have 660MB of data left to save.

Script attached.

===

RestoreConflicted.vbs
Disaster Recovery script for pulling DFSR data out of ConflictAndDeleted and
putting it back into a usable directory tree, preserving paths names, and
security descriptor info.

Please examine VBS closely before running.
Requires that the following variables be edited by operator:

objXMLDoc.load("C:\replicatedfolder\DfsrPrivate\Co nflictAndDeletedManifest.xml")

CandDFolder = ("C:\replicatedfolder\DfsrPrivate\ConflictAndDelet ed\")

OutputFolder = ("c:\dfsr_repair_tree")

To execute, run cscript restoreconflicted.vbs

This script has almost no error control currently.
USE AT YOUR OWN RISK UNDER DIRE CIR***STANCES ONLY!
