DNS for business partner site
Before reading to the bottom, I figured this was your issue. After reading the last two lines, I know this is your issue. Clients should *only point to your internal dns server(s). Your dns server should then forward to ISP and/or use root-hints to resolve INET space. Make this change, and your intermittent issues should disappear.

Hello, we have an Oracle Financials application which is hosted on our parent companies domain. Our two domains are completely seperate and we do not share the same DNS servers, IP range or domain name. We connect to the site with a frame link and currently we have dns entries for the host under our own primary zone and we also have a primary zone for the parent compaines domain with entries for the host. This is working most of the time but clients are still encountering resolution problems intermittently. Our domain is NT4 with dns running on the PDC, network clients point to this as their primary dns server and it is set up to forward to our ISP, the clients also have the ISP dns adresses as second and third dns servers. Does anyone have some suggestions for improving this setup. Thank you.
