I've just replaced the NIC in a server with a 2003
certified one and the SBS hangs at "Applying Computer
Settings" screen. The procedure I followed is here:

Control Panel|System|Hardware Select and uninstall NIC
Shutdown
Remove old and install new (Intel PRO/100 S)
Restart server

Any ideas what I did wrong and how to recover?

Hi Dave,

Are you able to start in safe mode? If yes what does the event log read?
