Default Activesync on Enterprise 2003

Years ago I dabbled with using activesync on Win2000 terminal server and was
unable to realistically use.

I am now having to face the monster again, only with Windows 2003 Enterprise
Server setup as an application server.

I currently have everybody running their Outlook on their local machines and
syncing to their Ipaq's via local USB activesync.

I would like to start migrating people to using Outlook 2003 on the terminal
server, but still need to be able for them (about 5 people) to be able keep
syncing with their Ipaq's on their local computers via USB.

I have no desire to setup up Small Business Server or an Exchange server for
our tiny organization.

As I recall the previous issue was with mapping a USB port to the terminal
server was problematic with multiple users. Does Microsoft have this figured
out by now?

Any insight would be appreciated.

For activesync in a TS session you'll need to use a com cable or
Citrix Presentation Server or USB-IT from

Activesync device redirection is not supported on Win2k3 or even Vista/WS08

Thanks
