Default Check terminal server enabled or not on longhorn (2008)server.

Hi
I have installed terminal server on my longhorn (2008) server. I have
to check whether it is enabled or not. On 2003 machine I can check
this by checking the TSEnabled value. This value is available at the
location
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Terminal Server
\TSEnabled.

But , on longhorn server TSEnabled value is not there.

I don't understand whether I have configured terminal server
incorrectly or there is another key value to check terminal serve is
enabled or not.

Please guide me.

Any help will be appriciated.

Thanks
Amit.

TSEnabled key is not used in Longhorn. Instead you can check the registry
key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Terminal
Server\TSAppCompat
If it is present and set to 1, the machine is in application server mode.
Else it is in remote admin mode.

You did not specify how you have implemented this, whether a script or
whatever. I don't know if the following is relevant; I apologize if it is
not.

Hi Munindra,

Thanks for your help.

I have already checked TSAppCompat value to see whether terminal
server is in Application mode or remote admin mode. But on 2k3 there
is one more value named "TSEnabled". If TSEnabled is 1 then terminal
server is enabled. From these two values I can check terminal server
mode and whether it is enabled or not.
But you mentioned that TSEnabled key is not used in Longhorn.
So is there any alternate key for it or just checking TSAppCompat is
sufficient to see the mode of terminal server and whether it is
enabled or not?
