Incorrect Date Foramat

I have built a server with US Regional Settings.
I have now changed to UK date format however users are still getting the US
date format.
I have fixed this on a previous server by changing the format, deleting user
profiles and then getting them to log in again. This is not working on this
server.
Any help appreciated.

I have found the solution which is:

'You can change the user-specific settings for the default user profile by
selecting the Apply all settings to the current user account and to the
default user profile check box on the Advanced tab.'

Do the above then delete the profiles and log the users back in.
