Can't connect to an MD-SBS Win2003 network printer
I've got Vista up and running and it looks great. However, I can't seem to
print to my shared printer which is located on my Windows 2003 Small
Business Server. I'm a member of the domain, logged in with a domain
account, and the workstation is a member as a computer account. I can both
see and read/write to shared folders on the server, and I can see the
printer in the active directory when I drill down to find it. (The printer
works fine for all my other machines on the network).
When attempting to connect I get the following message:
"Connecting to HP LaserJet 2420 PCL 6 on mdsbs.mxdesign.local"
Followed by the error message:
"Windows cannot connect to the printer. Either the printer name was typed
incorrectly, or the specified printer has lost its connection to the server"
I also tried this logged in as Administrator. Still no cigar.
So, what's shakin?
