Default My address bar dropdown

My address bar doesn't display any history when I press the down arrow. It
was working yesterday, so I tried to do system restore to correct the
problem, but every bolded date I tried returned a message that the system
could not be restored. Are the problems related? Help!

Are you running anti-virus and spyware/malware apps?
Looks like you got hijacked.

Thanks for the help. We are running Ad-Aware as well as Norton Anti-Virus.
What does "hijacked" mean? Would that have caused both the system restore and
address bar drop-down problems?

It doesn't happen often, but unfortunately System Restore points sometimes
get corrupted. When that happens, all you can do is turn it off and then
back on again. That causes the loss of existing restore points, but they are
no good anyway.

There's very good info about System Restore here:

Probably not.

It can and Ad-Aware won't catch everything. Run Spybot S & D, too.
