I have a ABit NF7-S v2.0 motherboard and have been using the 5.1 speakers
(Dolby digital) for a long time now. I just noticed that I lost my center
channel, rear speakers and sub-woofer and I am left with Stereo. Still
sound good but not what I am used to hearing. I have restored back at few
days without any change and I have re-installed the lastest Nvidia audio
driver and again no change.

Anyone have any idea what could be happening? I hope it is not my
motherboard starting to show its age.

Maybe this is related? Another problem I had a few days ago is that a demo
game, Quake 4, that was working produced a stop error and my system
re-booted. The operating system sent out an unknown error report but
provided no help. I uninstalled that demo game.
