When replying to messages, OE6 shows a solid vertical line alongside
the quoted text. How can I change this to use the more conventional ">"
characters?

First, neither of these products are 3rd party, they are both from
Microsoft.

Second, neither of these products are Access, which is the product this
group is for.

If you think your problem is a Windows XP problem, try one of the 27 Windows
XP groups that all start with microsoft.public.windowsxp.

If you think your problem is an Outlook Express problem, try the Outlook
Express group at microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlooke xpress.

Good luck.

If you're using Outlook Express,

Tools>>Options>>Security

Uncheck the option dealing with attachment.

I am planning on installing W2K on a new hard drive.
Currently the system is ME on a separate drive. Once I
have W2K up and running, how do I transfer all my current
saved emails and addresses from the ME drive to the W2K
drive?

Once this is done I am reformatting the ME drive to use in
another application.

Bob - you will probably get a faster and more expert answer if you post this
to an
Outlook Express news group.

Try posting in one of these newsgroups:
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie5.outlooke xpress for OE 5.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie55.outlook express for OE 5.5x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlooke xpress for OE 6.x
microsoft.public.internet.outlookexpress.mac for OE for Macintosh

If those groups aren't carried on the news server that's carrying this group
try using msnews.microsoft.com (MS's public news server that's the source
for all the microsoft.public newsgroups).

A good website for information on OE is:

You don't say what version you want. I'll presume the latest version that
works on Win95, i.e., IE/OE 5.5's last version.

I think it's included in the file you get from the following download
(though I haven't dragged down the file myself):
http://browsers.evolt.org/?ie/32bit/5.5_SP2
