Default internet security page overrides home page

I have a new laptop and after a couple of hours on the internet alerts
starting popping up saying my computer was being nfected and to download
software to get rid of it. I did that and now the "uptodatesecurity.com"
site keeps coming up when I log on to the internet. Why is this when I have
yahoo as my home page. Help!! Please!
