Default recognizing sound drivers



does anybody know how to get xp to accept my sound drivers? they are
installed and correct but windows doesn't enable them. i also had an
exclamation mark on plug and play in system devices (device mgr.) that i
inadvertally deleted and had the message that windows cannot configure my
audio devices. this all happen with a fresh install on a formatted hard
drive. any ideas????

Did you install the mobo drivers from the CD that came with your mobo??

Usually, this hotfix ships with the correct drivers. If not, google for
it. You may extract the drivers from another vendor just to get the hotfix.
