Upgrade?

why? I picked up a computer with bootleg XP pro beta version. Can I upgrade
to XP Home, which I own, rto make it legal?

Home is not an Upgrade.
You can purchase a full version (not upgrade version) and use it to clean
install if you so desire.

With any used computer - the recommended course of action is to wipe the
system of all software, install your own.
