I tested, it is possible to specify /usr/share/wine-c/windows/Fonts as
fonts directory in ~/.wine/config but you have to specify it for each
user.

In any case, It avoid to duplicate ttf fonts for each user.

Best regards. Didier.

There are two bugs in Wine at the present time that concern fonts.

1. In many applications, fonts from the Linux font server are not
correctly forwarded to the Windows program. This usually results in the
inability to see or especially print any type 1 font. It sometimes
applies to ttf fonts.

2. There was a bug in Win 95 that caused the printer to print upside
down and backwards. Wine does not correct for the fix that developers
put in to resolve this problem. As a result many early programs such as
DeScribe will not print correctly.

The api that handles hinting is just a stub so some fonts look terrible.
