David Gilmour setup

anybody know what kind of an amp/cabinet does Dave Gilmour use ????

When in his career?

I know he has used Hiwatt amps, but I haven't followed his career.
There's a website called something like Amp Geeks or something, that I
don't have a bookmark for. That has all sorts of famous guitar
player's setups listed, and diagramed. Maybe someone here has their
URL.

Didnt he use a HIWATT custom 100 head in the 70's/80's?? not sure about the
cab

I was talking abt the 70's mainly.

wt kind of a cabinet though ?

Hiwatt and WEM cabs, both with Fanes.

4x12's, of course.

All Hiwatt stuff, last I knew - unless he's switched. The bigger question
is about his pedalboard. I saw something about that one time, but can't
remember. It was pretty complicated.
