LEFTOIDS QUAKIN' OVER THIS ONE
Best post yet (more to follow below the quoted text)
There is something to be said for this: Unique DNA having been created being
the point where life exists.
However, there are other questions.
Who should have the rights to decide the future of this new life? Should
the mother have the right to be able to decide that maybe she should wait
until conditions are better, in both her and the new lifes' best interests,
or, should some unknown group of opinionated assholes force her and the new
life to accpet whatever conditions upon them they might dictate... poverty
and suffering for example.
Until the new life can survive on its own, most people believe that the
creator of it, (the mother and to some degree the father, unless a flaming
hand comes down out of the sky and carves a message into stone somewhere for
all to see) the real creator of it retains the right to decide the best
interests of the new life, including whether it would be better for it not
to exist.
One suspects that most of the people against abortion are also the same ones
who complain the most about teenage pregnancy and the welfare system, and
would eliminate welfare if they had the chance.
So why should the "new life" they are always so "concerned" about be the one
to have to pay for the irresponsibility of the teenage pregnancy and the
poverty it will end up inflicting?
