Default Drum Injuries? (technique think)

Hey guys. Ive been playing drums for about 6 years now or and I have read
some books and found some great lessons online. Well just recently, in the
last 10 months, I have injured my back very bad. One of my discs have begun
to wear away and the amount of pain that it is creating is completely
unbearable. I would have to say that my technique and posture are not the
greatest by any means and have been completely trying to recorrect all that
crap lately. Does anyone think that this injury could have been from poor
posture from sitting at the drums? I was just wondering if anyone has ever
experienced this or heard about this among other drummers because this
injury has completely changed my life. Thanks

Default Drum Injuries? (neck so technique)

I can remember going to a recording session in my 20's where the
drummer laid out on the floor between takes because his back was so
bad. It amused me because I was sure that would never happen to me!
Now some 20 years later I have back and neck problems that give me
pain in my arms and hands. I've had pretty good technique through most
of my playing career and STILL ended up having problems. I'm not sure
they were caused by the drumming, but doing all those reps just might
have something to do with it. I would say good posture might help this
problem. Get some pro help and do some exercises. Good luck!
