Hasn't this been out for ages? I see it everywhere in this incarnation.

Well, I've heard three of the performances in that cycle, and they are
superb. I'd like to be able to buy the rest.

Default EMI CLASSICS: August 2003 re-issues (silver wings)

And *still* no CD reissue of the Previn recording of Goldmark's
"Rustic Wedding" Symphony -- arguably the best ever, at least in
stereo (I won't haggle with the Beecham crowd!) -- yet still
inexplicably kept from us by EMI. With all the Lanchbery Goldmark
available from Australian EMI they could use as filler -- actually
there's a Lanchbery "Rustic Wedding" waiting in the wings too! --
there's simply no excuse why Previn's splendid performance could not
be brought out immediately on silver disc...!

Previn is OK, but not a patch on Bernstein for stereo. In fact I like Abravanel
better than Previn too.

Default EMI CLASSICS: August 2003 re-issues (love classical)

shaller1@hfhs.org (Steve Haller) appears to have caused the following
letters to be typed in
news:fdbd2ac7.0307180840.7711665e@posting.google.c om:

Like Paul, I love the Bernstein recording. But my pick for a coupling for
the Previn would be Anatole Fistoulari's recording of Luigini's "Ballet
Egyptien." That way I could have the latter without stuff I don't want.
