Default Foilk in Newcastle-on-Tyne and Gateshead

I shall be in Gateshead over the Easter weekend (Friday to Tuesday). I
would be interested to hear of any folk clubs, sessions or ceilidhs
happening in that area over that weekend.

Default Foilk in Newcastle-on-Tyne and Gateshead (night singer)

Jason Hill6/3/05 10:17 AM

The Bridge Folk Club, has a singer's night on Easter Monday 28th Mar.
Previously known as Folk Song & Ballad, it is - they claim - the oldest club
in the country, operating in the Bridge Hotel, in Castle Square, right
opposite the Keep on the Newcastle end of the High Level Bridge. You can get
to the Bridge very easily by train, metro and bus, and there is ample
parking for cars.

Whoops - missing from website. High Level Ranters + Bert Draycott.
Suggest getting there early. Usually preceded by session.
