Last week after buying my guitar and getting it home, I quickly realized
that the basic task of tuning it after a lapse of 18 years since I last even touched a guitar was not going to be easy. The truth was I didn't have a clue. I went and got the book out that came with my kit and turned to the tuning section, and it just got worse from there, and the cheap plastic pitch pipe that came with my kit was about as useful to me as a football bat. After several hours of struggeling and my guitar sounding like a mutated mandolin, I remember seeing some sort of electronic tuner at the music store. Went back and asked around and was shown the QT-11 QWiK TUNE Automatic Guitar Tuner. From taking it out of its box, to finally being able to tune my guitar for the first time, it took about 30 minutes and was a life saver for a newbie like me. A few things I like about it. Its built in Mic allows you to use it easily with an acoustic guitar. You can also plug your guitar directly in bypassing the built in mic, and easily tune the guitar no matter how noisy it is, which is great for back stage or if you are having trouble using the built in Mic. In article <vhp2egoe48oj54@corp.supernews.com>, no0z@earthmail.com
says... I've used a couple of them that mates have, and honestly I found it a pain in the ass to tune with, it just seems to jump from left to right every so often wildly when it feels like. I really find my old analogue Korg tuner, with a manual rotary dial is a lot easier to tune in guitars with. -- Dazed |
