Default Value of a Fender Blues Deluxe?

I have one of these that has been around the block. It works perfectly, but
the tolex is quite dirty looking. It looks aged and used, but not abused.

What would one of these be worth on the used market (all tubes recently
replaced).

Thanks

Default Value of a Fender Blues Deluxe? (think time)

I don't know. I've never heard of any demand for a Fender Blues
Deluxe. I don't think most people are even aware of the model. It's
probably another one of those situations where it's worth more to keep
than it is to sell.

But check the Ebay finished auctions. That might tell you something.

Default Value of a Fender Blues Deluxe? (them)

Thanks for the response, which was of no help. And, this is not even close
to being an obscure amp, many people own them and know of them. This amp
was the predecessor to Fender's current Hot Rod Deluxe and is a nice little
amp. Auctions are not always the best way to price an amp.

Ok expert. Anything you say. Sell it, and find out.

Default Value of a Fender Blues Deluxe? (so think)

Never said I was an expert smart ass!! I'm considering upgrading and
selling this amp so I asked a question because I know there are many
knowledgeable people in this newsgroup. Your reply "I don't know. I've
never heard of any demand for Fender Blues Deluxe. I don't think most people
are even aware of the model. It's probably another one of those situations
where it's worth more to keep than it is to sell."

If you "don't know" then why answer? You go on to suggest that you don't
think "most people are even aware of the model", and I ask what are you
qualification's to make a statement like this. I'm quite sure there are
many people who are familiar with this amp. Sounds like you just trying to
snub or belittle it in some way. And, If you "don't know" what it's worth,
than how can you suggest it might be a "situation where it's worth more to
keep than to sell"?

I was looking for some honest opinions of what would be a fair price to ask
for my amp, and I got a smug and arrogant response from you that in no way
helped or answered my question. I have to question the motive behind your
response, seems like you just wanted to put down the amp and insignificant
and not worth selling.

I'll get off my soap box, I certainly don't want to start a pissing contest,
but damn, if you don't have something good or nice to say, then sometimes
it's better to say nothing at all.

Have a good day.

Set your price, and see if it sells. You're making a big issue about
an amp that you don't even want to keep.

Default Value of a Fender Blues Deluxe? (think)

I had one for a few months. It was ok, but I sold it when I got the
change to buy a SFDR at a good price.....think I got $350 for the BD,
but that was 5 or so years ago.

$300-$400 is what the Hot Rod Deluxes are going for at ebay. Can't see the
Blues Deluxe going for more.

With a few inexpensive upgrades, performed in the course of normal
maintenance, it can sound good. It's a good value at $275-350 used. If I'm
not mistaken, it has an adjustable bias control (can't locate schematic
right now).
