Default Spiffing up the old-time image (time classic)

For those who hold themselves above the fray, who disdain the common
rabble who populate this newsgroup and old-time music in general, I
recommend the new Bubbaguitar.com Gallery of Fine Art (BUBBGAFART) at
http://www.bubbaguitar.com/. Our intention is to post monthly on our
homepage, artistic renditions featuring NW regional old-time musicians
and bands, to the edification and enlightenment of the otherwise
vulgar and steaming masses. For March we present a true classic,
reworked. High low Jack and game!

"I'll see that tempo, and raise you 10 beats per minute."

Good to see that you're still pushing the envelope outside of the box
on copyrights, Bill.

Default Spiffing up the old-time image (time think art)

I think maybe what Oldtime needs is an image revamping.
How about calling it Newtime music, or Post modern music? Or Hip-hop?

Here's the new image for old time music. The kids think it's cool.

"Deconstructed" - that, at least, is the fashionably vague term that
comes to my mind. Has a ring to it - The American Academy of Musical
Deconstruction. The Deconstructed Valley Boys. The Deconstructionist
Formerly Brass Band (plays only stringed instruments, as a result of
their Deconstructionist activities).

Default Spiffing up the old-time image (time the last m the avant-garde)

I'm against Deconstructionism, because I'm in the forefront of the last
of the avant-garde of retro-progressive old-time pre-post-modernists.

Griel Marcus would love this nonsense. Me, I'm not so sure.
To spiff up I recommend we all take more showers at Clifftop.
That should be sufficient.

Heirs, I believe, of the antidisestablishmentarianists....

Turning points are reached, and one finds his life a work in regress....

Bonehead desertations are an important part of old time music, and folk
lore in general.

A point well taken. The ability to distinguish between dissertations
and desertations is always useful.
