Default Lineup for New England Reggae Festival

Should any of you go, just down the road from the entrance to the park where
the festival will take place is a complex known as The Fantastic Umbrella
Factory that is worthy of a visit before the music starts.

The complex consists of a half dozen or so shops that feature such things as
stained glass, pottery, paintings, clothing, African crafts and, of course,
umbrellas. One shop, Small Axe, is operated by David Turano, a/k/a Davey Dread,
a potter and the bassist for the local reggae band, Dub Squad. He sells drums,
pots and lots between and always has reggae playing.

The complex also has a nursery, a coffee shop/veggie restaurant, gardens,
peacocks, sheep, chickens and bamboo.

The place is a unique treat and a relaxing respite. It's on the right heading
toward the ocean from Rt. 1 and is easy to miss-- gravel parking lot, no big
sign, vintage buildings set back from the road.

Cant wait to go to that. I think if I had to choose which day, which I
probably will, I would go on Sunday. Freddie MacGregor and Big Mountain are
a definite draw.
