You could sit at home and play alone trying to play all the guitar
parts to a song and it will sound good.
Then you go out and play with others and you find that you are playing
way too many chords and notes.
Or you hog the lead, not intentionally.
Or you sit back and strum endlessly.
None of those things sound very good and they make you look like you
just started playing a guitar.
How do you rectiy it?
Get out and jam with others as often as possible.
Learn to play tastefully rather than continously.
Unless you are playing in a power trio.
In that case you will be very busy with no time to scratch your b***.
