Like Fred Astaire, Jack Benny and George Burns, Hope's life is one of those
careers that is a definition of show business history.

Vaudeville, Broadway, radio, movies, TV and finally the new media of video
and DVD.

For most of that career, he made people laugh and gave unstinting support to
our servicemen no matter who or where they were. There'll never be another
like him.

There's a really funny outtake of one of his Christmas shows with Dolly Parton
as the guest. They are preparing to sing a Christmas song (don't remember which
one), and both are wearing plastic reindeer antlers on their heads. They get a
little too close, and their antlers get tangled up. Dolly says, "I guess we're
just a little too horny.'' And Hope just absolutely cracks up.
