I have been growing acai palms in Florida for a long time and I have a large slat house. The sun is filtered about 40% with large air circulating fans at one end. I have galvanized wire benches with overhead mist watering.
I have been growing palms I got from http://www.aciafarms.com and I want to also grow a variety of orchids.

I am new to orchid growing and I wonder if my exixting slat house needs modification for these plants. Also should I disinfect it prior to introducing the orchids? Any help would be appreciated.

growingup: I too live in Florida & am interested in growing Acai palms. The link you provided is not working. Do you have any more Acai palm resources in Florida, or would you be interested in selling any of yours? Thanks so much.

I have been wanting to grow my own Acai berries for quite sometime now. I went over to the guys at Magic Berry and they gave me some helpful advice you may want to ask them where you can get some seeds from.
