I have neem oil, but you are being WAY to kind when you say it smells like onions. It really smells bad as far as I am concerned. Don't like using it in the house or basement.

I have yet to see any crawlers. Just the adults. As soon as I noticed them, about three months ago, I isolated the plants that had obvious infestation, guess I missed a few,or several because now just about entire phal collection has them. Anyway back to my original point. I removed all visible scale, wiped all the leaves with alcohol and thought that would do the job. Obviously these little boogers hide, because as I mentioned now pretty much my entire collection of phals is infected. I remove all visible scale each week when I water, but I think it is a loosing battle until spring, and I can get the plants outside. I read in one of my books and was suggested by another local orchid society member to use Orthene, first off I can't find the darn stuff and sure as heck won't be spraying it inside my house!
