Just over a week ago my Chihuahua had a tick inside her mouth on her lip,
the vet got it out and she had to stay in the hospital for 2 nights on a
drip. She doesn't seem very well, won't eat and vomited a lot 2 nights ago,
last night one vomit was on the tiles. Does anyone know how long it takes
for a little dog to recover from a tick bite, I am very worried. She is 12
years old tomorrow 12th.
Thank you for any advice. Oh, I should mention that I bought a product
called "Sash's Blend", supposed to be good for arthritis, it smells
terrible, like fish. she wouldn't take it so I put some on my finger in a
little honey and put it in her mouth 2 nights ago. I did that cause 2 weeks
ago she had a crucial ligament rupture and I was told she would end up with
arthritis, her back right leg is affected but she seems to cope okay with
that. I told the vet I gave her the Sashas blend and he said don't give
again. I am very worried. the night she vomited a lot was after I gave her
that stuff, trying to do the right thing and I think I upset her.
