Default dull beak

My Budgie is two years old and unlike budgies I have had in the past...he
seems to have a dryer, duller looking beak which is also longer.

Does anyone know why this would happen? or what causes this?
My other bird ...a lovebird....has a perfectly smooth healthy looking beak
that is a perfect length and they both eat the same diet.

You have a lot to learn. Don't do it at your bird's expense.

***okay? this tells me nothing. I take good care of my birds and would
take them to the vet at the first sign of problems. THis is NOT a big
problem...I was just curious if anyone else had the same situation.
Instead of a cryptic message...I would appreciate something helpful..or nothing thanks.

**Well I hope that being a certified vet assistant and having worked on
wild birds also...gives me some knowledge.
