PING: Joyce
Still thinking on it. But I'm leaning toward "Rudy Valentino" and
calling him Rudy most of the time. It's a debonair name for a debonair
cat, who is also a lover and is graceful as a dancer. Perfect!
But I must warn you all: I have not decided 100% to keep him! I'm
trying on the idea seriously, to see if it's the right thing. I have
several things to consider, such as: can I afford to care for 3 cats
permanently? Will Roxy and Smudge be happy in the long run with another
cat around all the time? Can I keep up with all the housework involved
in having another cat? (With 4 cats, I really don't keep up very well.)
I don't want to be talked into keeping him if it's not the right thing
to do. If I just go with my emotions, I'll adopt him. But I want to be
*smart* about it, too - and do what's best for everyone concerned.
Anyway, because I'm having a hard time making up my mind, I decided
to try naming him as a way of making it feel "real" to me - then I
could see how that felt. So far, it's a little scary, to be honest,
for all the reasons listed above.
I think that whatever happens, will be for the best. If I decide not
to keep him, I will be rigorous about making sure he goes to the best
home possible.
Thanks everyone!
Joyce
