she is a siamese point, is 10 months old, was spayed at 6 months. i have
another cat that i waited to spay until about 9 months old, so i know they go
through cycles of being in "heat". and this cat is now in her "second cycle
of being in heat". this makes absolutley no sense to me. the vet said the
first time she may have a bladder infection. but she REALLY seems to be in
heat, she stopped for about 2 weeks, and then started up again.... please
someone help!!! im worried about her. thank you.

Could be due to sloppy surgical technique and incomplete resection of one or
both ovaries. Another possibility is the vet may have dropped some ovarian
tissue into the peritoneal cavity which revascularized and became
functioning again. Another possibility- although rare- is ovarian "rest"
tissue in some other location other than the immediate ovarian area. This
tissue can also become functional at almost any time. All this is called
"ovarian remnant syndrome".

Go to a *different* vet and order a serum estrogen test and vaginal
cytology. If she has more estradiol in her serum than the lab's normal
reference range for spayed cats, there's a pretty good chance she may have
an ovarian remnant.
