its manufacturing and quality assurance testing procedures, which
identified trace amounts of a melamine derivative from tainted Chinese rice
protein concentrate provided to the company by domestic ingredient supplier
Cereal Byproducts, headquartered in Illinois.

The mushing community has been largely unaffected by this
mess because pretty much nobody feeds wet foods and the dry
foods tend to come from small specialty producers. However,
a lot of people feed Kasco Hi Energy, so this should get
people to sit up and take notice.

I've been planning on switching to Annamaet in the fall and
I'm writing to them to find out if they've tested for

.........and I'd like to know WHY they think MenuFoods won't tinker with
their canned food? Are they saying that all the companies who had stuff
recalled that Menu made HAD agreed to substitutions? Or that MenuFoods
nutritionist formulated their foods?

.......I do like the fact that they mentioned some things have to come from
China. It's a fact. One no one likes at this point, but still, why pretend
otherwise?
