.......Out of curiosity, what kind of specialist? Just a surgeon? Cripes,
both these dogs are really young too.

Their vet was just a general practitioner who had no idea what this was.
He consulted with a friend he went to vet school with who told him what it
was. This vet recommended our vet's office because it has more specialties,
i.e., oncologist, vision specialist and a surgeon. Not sure what kind of
surgeon she is, but she seemed to know her stuff. She wasn't anything like
an orthopedic surgeon, that I know. I know that's all she does, surgery,
doesn't do routine exams. We saw the oncologist when our German Shepherd had
lymphoma.
