Towards the end the vets up at Cornell were drawing Greta's
blood from a hind leg, but she was elderly and well poked- over. Otherwise it's always been a foreleg with every vet I've used. I've never seen blood drawn from the jugular and didn't know they did that, so that's pretty interesting. Image's first round of demodecosis was treated up at Cornell, which meant that we had students (a different one very time) doing the scrapings, and while almost all of them shaved to do it the actual scrapings ranged from delicate and nicely-done to looking something like she'd been gouged with a spoon. With this round of treatment we have a pretty good idea what we're dealing with and so we're seeing my regular vet, who doesn't shave the spot to be sc****d and doesn't butcher the poor dog. -- Melinda Shore - Software longa, hardware brevis - shore@panix.com Prouder than ever to be a member of the reality-based community |
