Teeth Cleaning
Dog teeth, like people teeth, vary by dog. Fancy is now estimated to be
between the ages of 5-7. She's had her teeth cleaned in the last three
years but never so much as a cavity found. I prefer preventative
maintenance over waiting for a problem, hence the voluntary cleanings.
Pebbles, OTOH, had terrible teeth as she got older yet both dogs chewed the
same chewies and both were on similar diets.
My daughter had her first cavity removal & filling at only 2 years of age,
no joke. She has since had 4 abcesses and 7 fillings. She still has 3 baby
teeth left to lose. She brushes, flosses, eats the same junk normal kids do
(as in not to excess but I don't deny her sweets), yet she's provided a nice
source of income to the dentist whereas her cousins and two of her close
friends have never had a single cavity to date.
