My cat - a bombay?
When I got Sid from a shelter in November he was about 6 months. He was so
interesting I tried to figure out if he was a pure breed of some sort. He is
entirely black, very long, very long tail...I decided he could be a Bombay.
Then I decided he was a plain old black cat (the best one ever of course)
But all the other black cats I meet have short legs, short tails and a
chubby face.
Someone just stopped by, i'd never met them before and they asked me about
Sid because she said she just lost a cat that looked just like him. (oh
brother - i hope they weren't weirdos who would come back and take him! he's
an indoor cat though!) Then she asked if he is a Bombay (hers was a Bombay).
I said "Well, he LOOKS like a Bombay" He also fits the personallity traits I
read.
So, I guess it doesn't matter but it's interesting. I wish I'd gone a day
sooner and adopted his brother as well, my Sid is the nicest, mellowinst,
loving, patient, tolerant cat ever!
