1 and a half year old german shepherd is afraid of our newhouse
Who the heck is this so called "Puppy Wizard"? What are his
credentials ? He is so full of himself he sits all day and spews advice
on ALL dog problems. Ex: He tells the person with the G.S.D. who is
frightened of his new house "its a behavior problem". As a retired K-9
officer I can tell you this is a fairly common situation wiith dogs
moving to a new enclosure. Keeping in mind a dog's hearing is much more
accute than a humans (even the Puppy Wizard's). It has been established
that a high pitched sound can drive a dog crazy. Ever hear a "dog
whistle" ? Way out of range of human hearing abilities. I would suggest
there is a sound in the new house, probably an electrical appliance or
motor. Heating system or air conditioner that the dog hears that is
driving him to cower. He seems to be fine outdoors. This is my correct
E-Mail address should the "Puppy wizzzzard" or anyone care to respond,
as I have more important things to do than check in on this group and
read nonsense. Dan K
