Default benadryl

I was told at a vet's office that I could give my cats and dog benadryl
tablets 'safely' to calm them. I'm about to evacuate Louisiana and would
like to know if this is correct, SAFE? And does the weight of the animal
factor in. I have a couple of very small cats, and a 56lb dog.

tia,

I'm not sure how "calming" it would be, as I've never used it for that, but
it can be helpful to fight motion sickness.

Oh all drugs are weight dependant. You would have to ask your Dr. what does
he would recommend for your pets since they may have other issues to take
into consideration too.
I would never give out dosing information for a pet I have never personally
seen or cared for.
