Hello everyone... A week ago, we bought our first 'lil piggies - gosh
they are soooo cute! ;-) We named them Brownie and Schnubbi - 2 boys.
Both piggies are about 9 weeks old, they seem so afraid of us and hide
in their box everytime we are around. If we are around the whole day -
they would starve to death... as they would not come out at all... :-(

How can we get them to warm up to us? How long does it normally take
for piggies to adjust to a new home?

They make all sorts of noises... we aren't yet familiar with the
sounds they make - hence have no way of telling how the piggies are
feeling. But they do seem stressed.

Advice needed...

i've had my piggies for almost 4 years now, and when we first got them
they'd always run into their houses, so we made a habit of taking the
houses out during the day, and put them back in when we go to bed.
This helped them get used to us, also play with them as often as
possible during the day. Now adays, if we leave the house in durign
the day when we walk into the room, they'll run into their house, and
then right bakc out again looking for food lol. But it does depend on
the pig, my pig is very "in your face" and if she's hungry she will
let you know and she will do what she wants pretty much. My brother's
is much more timid, and even now, almost 4 years later, she still
stays in her house if it's in there. So i guess it does depend on
their personality

Some pigs never 'warm up'. Just give them time though, and keep
working with them.
