I had 6 guinea pigs living with me in my apartment. Tonight, I am
down to 5. Hutch died in my arms tonight. I am not sure what happen,
but it happen too quickly. Yesterday she stopped eating and drinking
on her own. She became very quiet and less energenic. Her heart beat
became more pronouns and she moved like she had the hic-ups. She was
a good guniea pig, and mother of 3 of my guinea pigs. One daugther
and two sons. She would always greet me at the water bottle. (She
drank a lot of water). I will miss her.

I'm sorry to hear about Hutch...you have my sympathies, as we've just lost
one a couple of weeks ago. As my 4 year old is constantly telling me -
Ginger will be still alive in our hearts, as will be Hutch in yours. It
takes a 4 year old to put it in perspective!

I wonder if drinking a lot of water in guinea pigs means some sort of kidney
disfunction. That's just a guess since I'm not a vet.
