Default Griffin is mad about something

Griffin is angry at me. I don't really know why. I opened his house to
start cleaning him today and you could just see it in his face. Well I
could. I reached for him and his ears (he is a lop) went back and his eyes
flashed. I actually pulled away from my own rabbit. After a little testing
of the water it was very clear he was angry about something. Every time I
put my hand near him the ears went back and he lunged. I was boxed several
times! I eventually coaxed him into letting me rub his nose and ears and
give his cheek a scratch. But when I pulled away he went back into mad
bunny mode. I promised him a new blanket for his house. He is happily
bouncing around the living room now but he is still mad at me for something.
So I guess after I clean my house it will be kiss up to Griffin time to try
and find out what is wrong. I have never seen him like this before. I have
never pulled my hand back from my own bunny before either. Very upsetting.
Anyway cleaning is almost done and time to bribe the grump with some
dandelions or something!

Any new sounds or smells in the house?

Any way he could be in pain or discomfort?

Hmmm, I wondered about the second one, too. Did her hurt a foot, a nail,
etc? Anything else that could be physically bothering him?

A bunny that does not trust you would
probably not make an attempt to lunge
and box at you.

Though he is not happy about something
it is good to know that he is communicating
with you about it.

All my bunnies have been known to take
a nip or grunt or something when they want
me to know that this is a bad day for them.

I just leave them alone for awhile and come
back later to see if, they got over it; whatever
they needed getting over with.

If they are still pissy after that, I start looking
into things.

But, like you said, it probably is because you
are trying to groom him.

Jackie boxes at me (and, I don't know how
she knows from any other time) when I am
going to check her for Poopy Butt.

On second thought, she probably knows that
when she smells like a giant cecal and I
come to see her, that I smell it too. And, I do.

For such a little thing, she sure can box and
bite.

Oh boy - those bunnies can be very moody. Boo Boo gets in a bad mood and gets
irritated if he feels he isn't getting the proper attention. He is a very
sensitive little guy!

OH MYYY - My little Billie is in an AWFUL mood when he's molting. I remember
one time when i was talking to him thru an animal communicator, he asked if his
hair was going to come back as nice as it was before. HE HAS AN EGO ABOUT HIS
LOOKS! LMAO

I wonder what they feel like when they are going thru it. Billie sure does get
grumpy when it's that time! Growling, boxing, lunging even bites!

Where did you get this communicator? There are a few things I'd love
to tell my bunnies, like "leave the carpet alone!".

Or at least ask them why they find the carpet so irresistible, huh Joe?

That might help. Maybe I could find a way to make it resistible then

I know this might not work for all bunnies, but I've found that it really helps to lay a seagrass
mat down in the areas they are attracted to. They love to chew on them and seem to prefer them over
traditional carpet.
