Default Recommended Cage Size

What's a recommended cage size for a Dutch bunny that weighs a little under
5 lbs. He's about 22 inches long and his litter box measures 13 inches
across. I am looking to buy Popper a new cage because he's cage is much to
small and was just wondering what a good size would be. I want him to be
able to stretch out both ways.

I have a dutch too. He lives in an XL dog crate with a 2 lb polish.
It is 42 inches long, but I can't remember the other dimensions. There
are two litterboxes, a shelf, and plenty of toys and it still leaves
lots of space for the buns.

You could also look into building and NIC cage. I will be doing that
this weekend for my two other bunnies. That way you can make it how
you want and it's cheaper than most pet store cages.

If you want to go the really expensive route, Leith Petwerks makes
fantastic rabbit cages. I've found that most other pre-fab "rabbit
cages" aren't big enough for anything but my tiny Polish.
