There are some NYC shelters on petfinder. They go under the name CACC (Center
for Animal Care & Control) in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Staten Island. We try to
keep close tabs on them for the peke rescue. Unfortunately, they are so
overrun with pets, that only the most adoptable ones often make it on the site.
They say that they update the site daily. Fortunately, we have a couple of
volunteers who regularly visit the shelters to check for pekes and have become
known to the workers and they will call them if an unadoptable peke comes in
that we can rescue. Unfortunately, bunnies aren't even listed on their
website, just the more adoptable cats and dogs.

I wonder how long they even
keep the bunnies.
